Job Opportunity: Behavioral Health LPN (LVN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Danvers, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Unit: Detox and Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
Specialty Areas: Substance Use Disorder, Mental Health, Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, ICU
Patient Ratio: High (1:32)
Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed
Floating Requirement: No

Required Qualifications

• License: Current Massachusetts LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license required
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty (Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health/Behavioral Health, ER, Med-Surg, ICU)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (First-time travelers accepted)

Additional Requirements

• Must provide government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County Searches, Nationwide Sex Offender, OFAC, FACIS, Death Master File
• Education verification required
• State Medicaid Exclusion Lists search required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with specific protocols for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• Professional references:

  • 2 for travel, allied, per diem acute care
  • 1 for per diem non-acute care
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams (medication/pharmacology competency as applicable)

Notes

• High patient ratios require strong time management and clinical skills.
• Weekend shifts are required as needed; no floating expected.
• This position is suitable for both first-time travel nurses and locals.
