Travel Registered Nurse (PCU) - Charleston, West Virginia

Job Details

Specialty: Registered Nurse (PCU/Stepdown/Trauma)
Location: Charleston, West Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7p-7a), 3x12 or 4x12 shifts, weekdays, every other weekend required
Unit: 5S Trauma Stepdown (IMC/PCU)
Patient Population: Multi-system trauma and surgical patients; travelers not required to care for pediatric patients
Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Floor RN 1:5, Stepdown Unit 1:3
Orientation: Held every other week on Thursday
Schedule Flexibility: Open to accommodating blocked schedule requests
Travel Radius: 100 miles (75-99 miles requires facility approval)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year
Intermediate Care experience
Trauma experience, including working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Stepdown experience
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association
CPI certification
Proficient in IV starts
Experience with ventilator management
Telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with conscious sedation
