Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Facility: Hospital in Greensboro, NC
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6 weeks
• Holidays: As needed
• Call: No call required
• Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in Emergency Department (ED) required
• Travelers: First-time travelers are welcome

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (required for all ER RNs at this facility)
• Pass/Fail EKG exam (required for all RNs regardless of specialty)
• State RN License (Primary Source Verification within 30 days of start)
• NURSYS Verification (within 60 days of start)

Preferred Certifications

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• EPIC experience required (electronic health record system)
• Previous Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma experience preferred

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Social Security Card (required for badge)
• Background Check (within 60 days, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years)
• Education Verification (Associate’s degree in nursing or higher required)
• Transcript/Diploma (copy of highest degree)
• Foreign Equivalency Education Evaluation (if education obtained outside the U.S.)
• Drug Testing (Negative 10-panel drug screen within 40 days of start)
• Immunizations and Health Documents including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 6 months)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B titer or declination
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption
  • COVID-19 Vaccination or declination accepted
• Fit Mask Test (annual, specific approved N95 respirators required)
• Physical Exam (if applicable)
• Facility-specific documents including:

  • Badge photo meeting strict requirements (no selfies, solid color background, business casual/uniform attire)
  • Health History Form
  • Job Description acknowledgment
  • Floating Policy acknowledgment
  • Contractor Equipment Acknowledgement Form
  • EPIC Test (online, 2 attempts allowed, 80% passing score)

Work History & References

• Employment Application/Resume with 7 years of work history
• Verification of all employment within last 5 years (third-party verification required)
• Two supervisory references required from clinical positions (one within 12 months, one within 24 months)

Important Notes

• Candidate must be flexible with scheduling and aware of zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance deadlines are strict; all documentation must be completed on time
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam is pass/fail with 2 attempts allowed; remediation required after first failure
• Background check must have no open hits; all cases must be cleared before start
• Fingerprinting required only for Home Health and Long-Term Care positions (not applicable here)
