Overview

Travel/Contract role in Winston Salem, North Carolina
13-week contract
12-hour nights
36 hours per week
Unit is a 26-bed Neuro and surgical ICU (NSICU)
Patient population: Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Neuro ICU (2 years of experience)
Neuro ICU experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with ICP monitoring
Experience with ventilator management

Skills

ICP Monitoring
Ventilator Management
Telemetry
Stroke management
ICP management
Seizure management
Critical care patient management, including titrating drips and invasive equipment
EVD management
Zoll temperature management/artic sun
PCAs

Schedule and Assignment Details

Staffing ratio: 2:1, occasionally 3:1
Every other weekend
No block scheduling
Float to other ICUs and intermediate units
Orientation: 24 hours
RTO after booking is not allowed
