Clinical Lab Scientist

Assignment Overview

Travel/Contract role in Orange, California
Night shift: 4x10 hours, 21:30–7:30
Start time is 21:30, with flexibility to 20:00 as needed
Contract length: 13 weeks
First-timers accepted: No
On-call: No
Weekend requirement: Rotating weekends and holidays
Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period

Required Qualifications

Valid Medical Lab Technician license in California
Medical Lab Technician (1 year of experience)
Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ASCP-BB
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
Experience in a Large Hospital setting
Blood bank software experience (any blood bank software)
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching hospital experience
Wellsky instrumentation experience
Immucor instrumentation experience
Clin Immunohem Sci certification

Facility Context

Acute care hospital
Magnet facility
426 staffed beds
Clinical lab setting
High-volume blood bank work with approximately 30–50 samples per day, including type/screen and crossmatch

Additional Notes

Interview submissions should include daytime Pacific Time availability
If multiple lab specialties apply, include percentage breakdown of time spent in each specialty
RTO must be included at time of submission
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
Local radius is 50 miles
