Postpartum Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
- Assignment length: 13 or 26 weeks
- Schedule options: 3x12s or 4x12s
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Post Partum (2 years of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart&Stroke
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience with high acuity postpartum care
- High-risk obstetric care experience
- Magnesium experience
- Pitocin administration experience
- Postpartum hemorrhage management experience
- Substance withdrawal care experience
- Experience managing 4 couplets
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- JADA experience
Unit Details
- Large-volume, high-census postpartum unit
- Cares for high-risk obstetric patients
- Standard patient load is 4 couplets
Floating
- May float to postpartum at Issaquah Campus, postpartum at Edmonds Campus, or labor and delivery for the 2nd hour of recovery
Schedule Notes
- 6 weekend days per contract
Additional Notes
- First-time travelers are accepted if they have at least 2 years of experience
- Candidates from other Providence facilities may be eligible after a 3-month separation, excluding Swedish facilities
- Active compact license is honored at Swedish facilities
