Interventional Radiology

Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Johnson City, Tennessee
• 13-week contract
• Day shift: 4x10 hours, 7:00am–5:30pm
• Rotating day off
• On-call: every 3rd weekend and 1 day during the week, about 8 days per month

Required Qualifications

• Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1 year of experience
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Thorough C-arm experience in orthopedic cases
• Thorough C-arm experience in neuro cases
• PE thrombectomy/lysis skills
• Trauma bleed embolization skills
• Traveler’s permanent residence must be 100 miles or more from the hospital’s service area

Schedule / Assignment Details

• General orientation begins on Mondays
• Monday orientation is online CBLs
• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• The hospital may cancel or call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
• Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed for census decrease or decreased resource need without penalty
• Start date can be any Monday if compliance documents are completed by the deadline

Compliance / Onboarding

• Background check required within 30 days of start
• Education verification required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM required within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG required within 30 days of start
• Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry required if licensed or certified in Tennessee or working at a Tennessee facility
• Photo for badge required within 48 hours of signed contract
• Staff info form required within 24 hours of signed contract
• Contaminated sharps and body fluid exposure statement required
• Respirator medical evaluation questionnaire required within 48 hours of signed contract
• Respiratory medical clearance form required
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually
• Skills checklist required

Health / Screening Requirements

• Physical exam required within 1 year of start
• Negative TB or chest X-ray required
• MMR immunity documentation required for measles, mumps, and rubella
• Hepatitis B documentation required
• Varicella immunity documentation required
• Drug screen required within 14 days of start
• Color blind testing required
• Fit testing completed onsite for candidates with patient contact
