Overview

Travel/Contract RN role in Castro Valley, California
Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00–16:30
Occasional weekend community events
13-week contract
Based in a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in California
Stroke experience within the last year
5 years of stroke experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Nurse Navigator experience

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN)
Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Role Summary

Provides individualized guidance, education, coordination, and support to stroke patients, families, and caregivers across the continuum of care
Supports stroke education, care coordination, chart review, gap identification, and collaboration with the primary nurse
Participates in community outreach, stroke program initiatives, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and performance measures related to Comprehensive Stroke Center certification
