Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Omaha, Nebraska.
• 13-week contract option.
• Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00–19:00.
• 48 hours per week option is listed.
• Medical Surgical/Telemetry 6/7 Lied is a 20-bed general medical surgical and telemetry unit with ortho patients.
• The unit includes patients with behavioral health conditions; travelers are trained for safety and de-escalation and must be comfortable caring for this population.
• Travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently to meet staffing needs.
• Float scope may include 4CS, 5 West, 6 Neuro, 4/5 Lied, 6/7 Lied, 7 HVU, 8 Werner, 9 Trauma, Bellevue MS, Observation, and SOTU, including potentially the Bellevue campus.
• Ratios are 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights; nights may rarely be 1:7 depending on staffing.
• Drips are required on all floors.
• First-time travelers are not accepted, unless the traveler has 2 years of experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center.
• Locals are not accepted; candidate must live more than 100 miles from the facility.
• Pending license is accepted; if not in hand at submission, the traveler will be booked six weeks out.
• 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period are required.
• Travelers must work 2 of 3 major holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nebraska
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• CPI
