Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Tyler, Texas
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Epic charting
• Float required
• Weekends required

Unit

• 2 West C is a medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
• Unit has 12 private rooms and 2 semi-private rooms, for a maximum census of 16 patients
• Focuses on patients with vascular disease diagnoses
• May also receive medical-surgical and telemetry overflow patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• 7-year background check
• Education verification
• Drivers License/State ID
• E-Verify
• Clear headshot for badge
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Fit test within 1 year of start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• 7-year work history verification
• Complete application/resume
• Unit-specific skills checklist
• Color blind testing
• PALS as applicable
• NRP as applicable
• CHEMO as applicable
• TNCC as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable
• MAB as applicable
• CPI as applicable
• Competency exam as applicable
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable

• Travel experience preferred
