Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Washington, DC.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Day or night shifts, 3x12 hours.
• 36 hours per week.
• First-timers accepted.
• Locals accepted.
• Pending license accepted.
• Guaranteed hours: 48.
• No on-call.
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend; blocked weekend scheduling is also open.
• RTO limit: 7 days max; if 1 consecutive week is taken, an extra week must be added to the end of the contract.

Unit / Float Scope

• Based in PICU / CVPICU / NICU.
• May float between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU.
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, ratio could be 1:3.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in District of Columbia.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• 2 years of experience as a Critical Care Float.
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year.
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association.
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics.

• None stated.

Additional Notes

• Charting system: Cerner.
• Magnet / Teaching / Level Trauma I facility.
• Scrub color: any, but must be child friendly and have no logos.
