PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PACU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires a strong background in post-anesthesia care, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.

<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Administer medication and monitor patient vital signs post-surgery.</li>
 <li>Assess patients' conditions and respond to their needs promptly.</li>
 <li>Coordinate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.</li>
 <li>Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.</li>
 <li>Assist in the care of pediatric through geriatric patients with diverse surgical diagnoses.</li>
 <li>Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Shift Details</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Shift: Days, 3x12-hour shifts (07:30 - 20:00)</li>
 <li>Every other weekend required</li>
 <li>Floating within specialty may be required</li>
</ul>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience; strong candidates with 3-5 years of PACU experience or 2 years of ICU experience may also be considered.</li>
 <li>Current RN license in the given state.</li>
 <li>Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Patient Care Environment</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Patient Ratio: 1:4</li>
 <li>Number of beds/rooms in the unit: 16</li>
 <li>Patient diagnosis range includes orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, general surgery, thoracic surgery, urology, and gynecology.</li>
</ul>

<h2>Additional Information</h2>
<ul>
 <li>Required to work holidays as scheduled.</li>
 <li>Scrub color: Navy Blue.</li>
