PCU/Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract RN role in Dededo, Guam.
• 13-week assignment.
• Night or day shifts; travelers are scheduled primarily one shift and cannot request a shift preference.
• Every other weekend required.
• Holidays required.
• Ratios: 1:4-5.
• First-timers not accepted.
• Locals are not accepted.
• On-call not required.
• Travelers must be willing to float to Med-Surg and ED Tele overflow as needed; if floated to ICU, they will not care for patients outside their scope of practice.
• The role is based in a tele unit with PCU level of care; ICU and PCU may be needed.
• Unit care includes routine, uncomplicated cardiac procedures and nonurgent PCI with complications or suboptimal results.

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of specialty experience.
• Compact or Guam RN licensure in hand at time of submittal.
• ACLS.
• BCLS.
• Passport in hand.
• Must be able to complete onsite pass/fail testing for drug calculations and BKAT.
• Must complete the facility’s RN modules and required RN training.
• NIH Stroke Scale Training (NIHSS) certificate is required for RNs only.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• Fit test within 1 year prior to start.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Work history verification for the last 10 years.
• At least 2 professional references within 3 years of start.
• Background check required within 1 year of start.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of specialty experience.

Additional Notes

• Travel partners are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
• Overtime is at management discretion and not guaranteed.
• Travelers should be prepared to pick up additional shifts due to census.
• RTO must be approved before start and cannot be added after the contract begins.
• Candidates should plan to arrive by the Thursday before start due to travel time and time change.
• Housing is not mentioned.
