Respiratory Therapist
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Seattle, Washington
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Floating required to all inpatient and acute care areas
- On-call not required
- Weekend shifts required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience working with Adolescent or Infant or Neonate or Pediatric patients
- Airway management
- Ventilator management
- BiPAP
- PICU or NICU experience
- Intensive care experience
Required Skills
- Airway management
- Medication administration
- Vent management
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning
- Pulmonary toileting
- Nebulizer treatments
- BiPAP
- CPAP
Schedule and Assignment Notes
- No RTO within the first 2 weeks of start
- Only 3 shifts of RTO can be approved
- Traveler must work 2 of the 3 holiday groupings
- RTO must be included on the initial submission
- Candidates without an active Washington license may need a 6–8 week lead time before start
Preferred Experience
- Trauma experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
- ER experience
- Teaching or community hospital experience
- Children’s hospital experience
Additional Notes
- Respiratory protection clearance is required for candidates who will use a respirator
- Fit testing cannot expire during the assignment
- Pre-start modules are required for some roles, and this role completes modules on-site if applicable
