Job Overview
- Location: Columbus, Ohio

- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
- Weekly hours: 36
- Contract length: 16 weeks
Unit Details
- Mixed acuity PCU and medical-surgical unit with oncology/BMT focus
- Patient population includes blood and marrow transplant and oncology patients
- CAR-T therapy is part of the unit’s care mix
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Med Surg (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Hematology/oncology experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Oncology Nursing Society chemotherapy certification
Key Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Rapid response support
- Blood product administration
- Central line blood draws and line management
- Feeding tube care and management
- Nasal cannula administration
Additional Notes
- Chemo certification is not required
- Rotating day/night scheduling may be possible depending on department needs

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
