Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Telemetry experience
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Weekend requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period
- Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments may be required as needed
- Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required
- Block scheduling is not accommodated
- Local candidates are not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
- Requested time off cannot exceed 7 days
Relevant Clinical Experience and Skills
- Telemetry and stepdown/PCU care
- Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
- Rapid response support
- Post-cardiac, post-MI, and pre/post cardiac cath or cardiac surgery care
- IV insulin protocols
- Feeding tube care and management
- Pre/post hemodialysis management
- Blood product administration
- Central line, PICC line, peripheral IV, and phlebotomy care
- Heparin protocols, PCA, procedural sedation, and cardiac drip management
- CVA care
- Chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, oxygen delivery, non-invasive airway management, and tracheostomy management
- Isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac
