Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
• Hours per week: 36 hours
• Call Requirement: Call is required; frequency varies by unit needs. Details can be discussed during the interview.
• Interview: Availability for interview is required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred / Additional Certifications (Not required for OR)

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is not required for Operating Room RNs
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, or tech certifications are not applicable for this role

Facility / System Requirements

• Experience with EPIC or Cerner electronic health records: minimum 6 months required for RNs; less than 6 months results in auto-cancellation
• Pyxis acknowledgment must be signed prior to start (not required for non-clinical roles)
• No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by the facility for OR staff
• Must complete vaccine attestation form regardless of vaccination status
• Flu vaccinations available free of charge at employee health clinics for contractors with badge access

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Call frequency varies and will be clarified during interview
• Radiation badges are not required for this role
