Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant)
Location
- Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 16 weeks
Work Schedule
- 12-hour shifts
- Night shifts (3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Option for 12-hour day/night rotating shifts (shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks, but not guaranteed)
Specialty & Patient Population
- Oncology / Mixed acuity Medical-Surgical and Telemetry unit
- Hematology oncology inpatient experience required
- Patient diagnoses include:
- Acute and Chronic Leukemias (ALL, AML, CLL, etc.)
- Amyloidosis, Aplastic Anemia
- Hodgkin’s and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
- Multiple Myeloma
- Myelodysplastic and Myeloproliferative Disorders
- Special procedures:
- Autologous, Syngeneic, and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplants
- CAR-T Therapy
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
- Oncology nursing experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience
- Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
