Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Toledo, Ohio
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:59 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work setting: Interventional Radiology
- Average daily census: 25 patients
- Rooms: 3
- Beds: 8
- Patient age groups: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Call requirement: One weekday per week, every 4 weeks (Q4W)
- Provider support available 24/7 including Intensivist, NP, CRNA, Hospitalist, Anesthesiologist
- Communication system: SBAR
- Epic experience required
- Scrubs provided
Required Experience & Skills
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT Radiologic Technologist (ARRT R) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Procedures & Equipment
- Abdominal and Pelvic: Chest tube placement, embolization, IVC filter placement/removal, stent placement, thoracentesis
- Genitourinary: Catheter/drain exchange, embolization, internal/external biliary drainage
- Vascular: TIPS procedure, central venous access/port placement
- Venous access: Central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
- Equipment: Fluoroscopy, PACS, equipment maintenance
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
- Ohio state license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required, updated annually
- Fingerprinting required for Ohio facilities (BCI and FBI) within 12 months of start, updated annually (only for certain units)
- Education verification of highest level required
- 2 professional references within 2 years, including at least one from a leader (Charge RN or above)
- Skills checklist required for all candidates
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within last 12 months (latex-free PPE available)
- N95 fit test within 12 months of start, updated annually (onsite completion possible with approval if needed)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Immunizations or proof of immunity required for:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (MMR) – positive titer, 2 vaccines, or approved exemption
- Varicella – positive titer, 2 vaccines, or approved exemption
- Hepatitis B series, positive titer, or declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption (required during flu season Oct 1 – Mar 31; declinations not accepted during flu season)
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 3 months of start, updated annually; chest x-ray required if history of positive TB
Competency Exams (as applicable)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (for RNs only, updated annually)
- Conscious sedation competency exam (for ER & ICU)
Additional Notes
- Radiation badges issued by facility as applicable
- Dress code must be reviewed by candidate
- Time-sensitive agency forms must be completed at least 10 days prior to start, including submission of professional headshot and badge photo (head/face only, plain background, no filters)
