Physical Therapist - Home Health

Location: Akron, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
On-Call: 1 weekend on-call every 6 weeks
Service Area: Portage Lakes, Canton, Uniontown region

Job Description

• Provide physical therapy services in a home health setting.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.
• Apply therapy best practices and make appropriate clinical judgments.
• Prioritize tasks with a disciplined work ethic and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with your name listed as a driver

Additional Requirements

• Background check and fingerprinting must be completed prior to or at the time of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last year (or as applicable).
• Hepatitis B vaccination documentation or declination form required.
• Drug screening (5-panel urine drug screen) required prior to start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season.
• COVID vaccination and booster may be required depending on location.
• Physical exam documentation may be required depending on state regulations.
• Auto insurance documentation required.
