Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Harrison, Arkansas

- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Weekend night shifts
- Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Total hours per week: 36
- No call required
- Floating within scope as needed
Job Requirements
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Arkansas
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association, ARC, or US Department of Defense accepted)
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license (primary source verification required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association, ARC, or US Department of Defense accepted)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required
- Criminal background check within 3 months of start, including:
- 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Social Security trace
- County, nationwide, sex offender checks
- FACIS Level 3 screening
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Education verification required
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completed employment application/resume
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Initial physical exam and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Annual mask fit test prior to start
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start; if positive, clear chest X-ray and health department clearance required
- Required immunizations or documented immunity (titer or vaccination) or approved declination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); unvaccinated candidates must wear masks on shift
- COVID-19 vaccination or facility-approved declination required
- Drug screening:
- 9-panel drug screen within 2 weeks of start (including marijuana)
- Instant drug screen within last 12 months acceptable but not required annually
Additional Notes
- Floating may be required within the scope of practice
- Block scheduling options may be discussed during interview
This position does not require prior travel experience.
