Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Hickory, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Patient Ratio: 1:2
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery with Mother/Baby experience
Travel Experience: Preferred but not required
Locals: Accepted at the same rate

Job Description

Provide nursing care in Labor & Delivery with a focus on Mother/Baby patients.
Night shift schedule with option to flex to a 4th shift if needed. Overtime available after 48 hours.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or equivalent
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or equivalent
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Advanced NRP through AAP required (Essentials not accepted)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS certification
BLS certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
NRP certification

Additional Requirements

Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
Completed employment application/resume
Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit
Bring hard copies of all health documents on first day

Notes

Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Candidates must submit a cover sheet and current NURSYS report.
Facility requires compliance with all background and credentialing checks before start.
Orientation and competency exams may be required as applicable.
