Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Covington, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: Day (5 days per week, 8 hours per day; 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)
• Daily Caseload: Approximately 15 cases
• Call Required
• Scrubs Provided
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• ARRT (Registered Radiologic Technologist)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)

Equipment & Systems Preferred

• GE Innova (equipment)
• Maclab, Xper (monitoring/recording systems)
• EPIC (electronic health record system)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist certification
• BLS certification
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted with proper documentation)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray per current guidelines
• Annual TB questionnaire
• 2 doses or positive titer for Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
• Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination signed within 12 months of start
• 2 doses or positive titer for Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination required annually (Oct 1 - Mar 31), with exemptions and declinations accepted under facility policy
• Mask required at all times for unvaccinated candidates

Competency & Training Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (annual, minimum 80% score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (annual, minimum 80% score)
• Core training parts I, II, and III (annual)

Additional Notes

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification may be required depending on unit assignment; can be completed onsite within 30 days if not already certified
• License and certification verifications must be completed within 30 days of start
• Candidates must comply with employee appearance policy and other facility-specific guidelines

This position offers a structured day shift with a consistent caseload in a cardiology/radiology cath lab environment, suitable for technologists with at least 2 years of experience and required certifications. First-time travel technologists are welcome.
