Day shift, 3 shifts per week
Shift hours: 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (12.5 hours per shift)
Total hours per week: 36

Required Experience

Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
Endoscopy experience required
PACU experience preferred
Experience with 1:1 patient ratio required

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Required Licenses

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Ohio

Background and Compliance Requirements

7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific code 3701.881)
Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring
Education accreditation verification from an accredited nursing program (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA)
Proof of fingerprinting completion required (physical receipt or photo of fingerprint cards)
Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending
Employment application and skills checklist required
Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership role)

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
Tdap vaccination (adult dose after age 11/12) required; exemptions not allowed if working with infants or pregnant patients
Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year or chest x-ray/treatment documentation if positive
TB questionnaire required in lieu of annual TB test renewal
Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): 2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters required if low titer and no proof of vaccines
Hepatitis B: titer or 3-vaccine series; signed declination acceptable
Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); mask required if declining
COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended; proof of primary vaccination collected if available

Competency and Testing Requirements

Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required prior to start
Unit-specific competency exam required
Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually (minimum passing score 76%, max 3 attempts)
Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required annually

Additional Notes

Parking options available for travelers at varying costs and shuttle services
Dress code and hand hygiene policy must be reviewed and signed
Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting form required
Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit (check with recruiter)
License verification and NURSYS verification required within 30 days of start

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with 1:1 patient ratio
