X-Ray Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
Shift: Nights (3 or 4 shifts per week), 10-hour shifts (9:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Schedule Pattern: 7 days on / 7 days off; Wednesday to Tuesday rotation
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment as a Radiology Technologist
• X-Ray Technician experience

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required (ARC or AHA acceptable; Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required (ARC or AHA acceptable; Provider, Instructor, and RQI accepted)
• Other certifications such as PALS, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification, and Tech Cert Verification may apply depending on specialty and role but are not specifically required for this position.
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams required as applicable.

Background & Screening

• 7-year background check required within 1 year of start, including SS trace, county searches for all locations lived/worked/schooled, nationwide, and sex offender registry checks.
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening search required for tracking purposes.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative QGold TB test within 1 year (Chest X-Ray within 60 days if applicable)
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (October to March)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen with expanded opiates within 14 days before start (instant tests not accepted). A positive marijuana test is not disqualifying.

Documentation & Compliance

• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no filters)
• Confidentiality statement signed prior to start
• Compliance checklist to be completed by agency representative once candidate is compliant
• Dosimeter request form required only for Imaging Department staff (not required for MRI Tech specialty)

References & Skills

• Two professional references verified within 2 years of start
• For inpatient RNs only: one reference must be from most recent acute care assignment (not applicable for this X-Ray Tech role)
• Annual skills checklist required

Additional Notes

• Call and holiday rotation required (varied schedule)
• This position is for experienced travel professionals only; no first-time travelers accepted.
• Locals are accepted but at a lower pay rate (pay details excluded).
