Job Description
- Provide respiratory therapy services primarily in adult critical care and emergency room settings.
- Preferred experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Work in a Level II Trauma Center environment including outpatient, interventional radiology, emergency room, and inpatient units.
- Charting system used: EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy, with adult critical care and ER experience preferred. NICU experience is a plus.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred but not required
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-time travelers accepted).

Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- Flu vaccine or declination (seasonal)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Respirator clearance required annually for respirator use.
- Fit mask testing required (annual), with specific acceptable mask types.
- References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
- Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific) prior to start and annually.
- Photo for badge required.
Additional Notes
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; may float to other nearby facilities.
- Candidate must complete all required training modules and certifications prior to start.
- Candidate must comply with state-specific background and registry checks as applicable.
- This is a night shift position with weekend requirements but no on-call duties.
