Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Job Details

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (0630-1800 hours, start/stop times may vary)
Schedule: Monday through Saturday rotation, no Sundays or observed holidays
Weekend Requirement: Yes, rotating Saturday coverage
On-call: No
Floating: May be required to float within scope to cover X-ray
Locals Accepted: No (candidate’s permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
First Timers Accepted: Yes

Unit Information

Outpatient clinic setting
Most patients are mobile
Commonly see follow-up cancer diagnosis patients
Responsibilities include starting IVs, running I-stat labs, injecting contrast, and post-processing images

Required Experience & Skills

Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
X-Ray Experience Required:
- Extremities
- Abdomen/GI
- Spine/Pelvis
- Head/Chest/Thorax
- Musculoskeletal
- Lower/Upper Extremities
Preferred Experience:
- Fluoroscopy studies
- Enema studies

Required Certifications

ARRT-R (Radiologic Technologist)
ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
BLS (Basic Life Support)

Required Qualifications

Valid professional license for Radiologic Technologist as applicable
Ability to work in an acute outpatient setting
Skills per unit description (acute outpatient)

Additional Requirements

Must be willing to rotate shifts and cover weekends as needed
Must be able to float to other imaging modalities within scope
Background checks and verifications as per standard healthcare travel contract requirements
Physical exam within 1 year of start, including clearance to work
Immunizations and health screenings including TB, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, COVID vaccine or declination as required
Drug screening within 90 days of start
Completion of required compliance and regulatory training modules prior to start

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of experience who is comfortable working in an outpatient acute care setting and is willing to travel to Alaska for a 13-week contract. Weekend work and some floating within imaging modalities are required. First-time travel healthcare workers are welcome to apply.
