Job Opportunity: Wound Care Nurse
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (No weekends or holidays)
Job Description
- Provide wound, ostomy, and continence nursing care.
- Direct wound care experience preferred.
- Responsibilities include:
- Identifying types of wounds.
- Dressing wounds.
- Writing orders for physician sign-off.
- Educating nurses on wound care orders.
- Wound Care Consultation experience is required. This role involves more advanced wound care than typical bedside nursing, focusing on patient assessment and education.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
- Minimum of 1 year of wound care experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Information
- No prior travel experience explicitly required.
- Must complete facility-specific compliance checklists and online training prior to orientation.
- Badge photo required 2 weeks prior to start.
- Annual mandatory OSHA training and other core competencies must be maintained.
- Facility-specific policies such as fingernail policy must be signed prior to start.
