Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Start date: April 20 (firm)
• Schedule: 36/48 hour alternating shifts; facility schedules 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Experience:

  • 3 years preferred (no first-time travelers accepted)
  • 2 years acceptable if experience includes work in a high volume or trauma facility

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA only
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• NIH Stroke Certification (as applicable)
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., NRP, CHEMO, ENPC, EFM)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Texas
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Emergency Room (ED/CDU) nursing, or 2 years experience in a high-volume or trauma facility as an alternative
• At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• Current certifications issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross:

  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
• Additional certifications required or preferred as applicable:

  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • CHEMO (Chemotherapy Certification)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
