Job Description

• Solo technologist role in Nuclear Medicine Department
• Proficiency required in all general Nuclear Medicine studies including Stress Testing
• Must be able and willing to start independently without peer-to-peer onboarding
• No float or weekend shifts required
• Support available for Meditech and PACS systems, but no other Nuclear Medicine staff available for clinical support
• Preferred experience includes working in both teaching and community hospital settings
• Accepts first-time travel healthcare workers

Required Skills & Equipment Experience

• Stress Testing
• GE Equipment
• Gastric Emptying studies
• HIDA/MUGA Scan
• Bone scans
• Liver/Spleen scans

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification)
• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
• Proficiency in Stress Testing
• Experience with Gastric Emptying studies
• Experience with HIDA/MUGA Scan
• Experience with Liver/Spleen scans

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is not required

Required Background & Health Documentation

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification or official transcript/diploma required
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• N95 respirator fit test within 1 year (for patient contact roles)
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • TB screening (2 PPDs or equivalent)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer and/or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
• Drug screening (9-panel) within 6 months
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season
• COVID-19 primary series and booster vaccines required (exemptions accepted)

Additional Certifications (may be required or preferred)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification (check unit requirements)

Notes

• This position requires a self-starter comfortable working independently in a department with no peer technologists for support.
• Teaching and community hospital experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• No weekend or float shifts are required.
