Job Opportunity: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Location: Los Angeles, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 day shift) with one-hour lunch
• On-call: May be required once a month depending on full-time staff coverage
• Specialty focus: Pediatric echocardiography and/or fetal echocardiography

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography, including experience within the last year
• Experience in fetal echocardiography
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Experience working with maternal-fetal patients
• Certifications:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Valid state license as required for the specialty
• Current and valid driver’s license or government-issued photo ID

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Background checks including:

  • Social Security Trace
  • 7-year National Criminal History Search
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • FACIS level 3 search (includes OFAC)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (must be within 30 days of start)
• Education verification: Diploma or official transcripts required
• Physical exam within one year of start, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Negative TB test (QGold) within one year
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (declination accepted if signed within past year)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titers or vaccination proof required)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (seasonal requirement)
  • COVID-19 vaccine or declination (specific vaccine timing required)
• Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (Aya requirement)
• Competency exams and certifications as applicable
• Facility-specific onboarding documents and training modules (e.g., HIPAA, harassment prevention, confidentiality agreements) must be completed prior to start
• References: Two required, supervisor level or above, with at least one within the last year
• Employment application covering last 7 years with explanations for gaps of 30 days or more
• Work history verification for last 5 years

• Scrubs color: Royal blue
• Onboarding and access documents must be submitted promptly to ensure timely start
• Some certifications and trainings may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP) – verify with recruiter or manager
