Contract Length: 12 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics.
Required Qualifications
Licensure:
Must hold a current Georgia state license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or a minimum of Certified Respiratory Therapist Technician (CRTT) with critical care skills and 5+ years of experience as a therapist.Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- RRT or CRTT (with conditions as above)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years in respiratory/neuro diagnostics specialty.Skills:
- ABG interpretation
- CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP management
- Flow-by oxygen delivery
- Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Trach collar management
- High flow nasal cannula use
- Airway management
Systems:
Experience with Epic electronic health records system is required.
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend Work: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within facility and possibly to an additional nearby campus, within scope of practice
- Call: None required
- Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (see below)
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days
- Dress Code: Pewter gray scrub color

- New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance with credentialing and onboarding required to start on time.
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment).
- Background checks, education verification, and other documentation must be completed prior to start.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (titer or signed declination)
- TB testing (PPD, QGold, or TSpot within 12 months) and TB questionnaire annually
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Color blindness test required
Additional Requirements
- Two clinical references required
- Skills checklist updated within 12 months
- Verification of most recent work history required (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Floating may include travel to a nearby campus approximately 3 miles away.
- No call responsibilities.
- Candidate must be able to work major holidays as outlined.
- Must be able to pass competency exams including dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable.
