Location: Napa, California

Job Description

  • Position: Inpatient Physical Therapist
  • Spanish speaking preferred

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist license in California
  • Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year

Certifications (as applicable)

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (verify if required)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification (verify if required)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - if applicable
  • Other certifications as required by clinical track or facility

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • Education verification required
  • Drug screening: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
  • References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
  • Immunizations and health documents:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
    • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
    • COVID vaccine or declination
  • Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use, medically cleared annually (travel only)
  • Fit mask test required for travel candidates, updated annually

Facility and System Specific Requirements

  • Completion of Providence Health and Services WorkRamp modules prior to start and annually thereafter, including:
    • Core regulatory modules
    • Specialty-specific modules for Therapy/Rehabilitation if applicable
    • Regional and facility-specific modules as assigned
  • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) may be required
  • Floating policy acknowledgment: may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance

Additional Notes

  • Candidate may be required to complete Epic training modules if applicable
  • Some requirements may vary based on facility or region within Providence system
  • Non-clinical or remote workers may have reduced requirements for some health and compliance documents

This position offers a travel/contract opportunity for a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, licensed in California, with a 13-week contract in Napa, CA. Spanish language skills are preferred. Compliance with Providence Health and Services credentialing, background, health, and training requirements is mandatory.
