Job Description
Seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for day shifts. Responsibilities include patient care in antepartum, labor & delivery, mother/baby units, and floating as a patient safety sitter when needed.
Required Qualifications
Labor and Delivery nursing experience (minimum 2 years, with experience within the last year)
ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
AWHOLL Intermediate certification
Tech Cert Verification - National
Acknowledgement of PassFail Testing
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
Clinical skills including:
- Assist with sterile speculum exams (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)
- Triage of obstetrical patients
- Use of External and Internal Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
- Management of pre-eclampsia/eclampsia
- VBAC management and trial of labor
- Recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Magnesium sulfate therapy
- Assist with vaginal delivery and circulate for C-section
