Job Description
- Unit: New liver care ICU/IMC
- Experience Required:
- 2 years of experience
- Level 1 and transplant experience required
- Experienced travelers preferred
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- State License Verification (permanent RN license required)
- NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
Unit Overview
- Facility Features:
- A brand new 15-bed Intensive Care Unit
- Specializes in post-operative liver transplant care
- 24/7 in-house provider coverage
Program Growth
- The liver transplant program has completed 205 liver transplants in 2023, indicating a strong commitment to transplantation care.
Additional Requirements
- Health Documents:
- Physical Exam
- Tdap vaccine
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray
- Drug Testing (9-panel)
- Flu Vaccine or Exemption
- Background Check: Required within 60 days of start
- References: 2 references required
- Education Verification: Degree from an accredited program required
Competencies
- Completion of various competency exams and training modules during orientation.
Important Notes
- Certifications expiring within one month of the contract start date will not be accepted.
- No onsite renewals for certifications; renewals must be scheduled by the agency.
- Candidates must bring specific items to orientation and complete required modules during their first week.
