Job Details

  • Seeking Medical/Surgical RNs for Emergency Department Boarder positions.
  • Shift: Straight nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, every other weekend (EOW).
  • Preferred start dates: February 9 or February 23.

Credentials & Documentation Required

Submission Requirements (must be provided before submission)

Onboarding Requirements (must be completed before start)

  • Color photo badge (taken within past 6 months, professional headshot).
  • Fit test for N95 respirator (within 365 days of start date, updated annually).
  • Documentation of immunizations and health screenings:
    • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity.
    • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Sept 15 - April 30), no exemptions allowed.
    • TB test (skin test or blood test) within 3 months of start date, updated if >6 month break.
    • Health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break.
  • Criminal background checks including:
    • National and Massachusetts CORI background checks (within 30-45 days prior to start).
    • Social Security Number trace for last 7 years.
    • National sex offender registry check (within 30 days of start).
    • Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days of start and annually.
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation (part of fit test record).
  • Confirmation of assignment/POI form upon acceptance and for any start date changes.
  • Education verification (highest level achieved).

Optional but Preferred

  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity or declination.
  • Tdap vaccination within last 10 years.
  • Documentation of chest x-ray if positive TB test.

Additional Notes

  • No religious or medical exemptions allowed for flu vaccine or N95 fit testing.
  • Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to start.
  • Background checks and credential verifications are stringent and must be current.
  • This is a travel assignment requiring compliance with all credentialing and health requirements prior to start.

This position is ideal for Medical/Surgical RNs with solid clinical experience who are comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting and can meet comprehensive credentialing and health requirements.
