Echo Technician Travel Job – Hawaii (Lihue)

Job Details

• Location: Lihue, Hawaii
• Employment Type: Travel contract
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: Rotating day shifts (5 shifts per week, 8 hours each)
• Hours: 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Shift Times: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• On Call: Weekday evenings and weekends; must be available for weekend call shifts

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent experience as an Echo Technician
• Certifications:

  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • ARDMS certification: RDMS, RDCS, or RVT
• Experience with Philips CVX ultrasound system preferred
• Pediatric Echo experience preferred

Compliance & Health Requirements

• Proof of immunity or vaccination required for:

  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) – no declinations allowed; must begin vaccination series if titer is low
  • Hepatitis B – no declinations allowed; must begin vaccination series if titer is low
  • Varicella – no declinations allowed; must begin vaccination series if titer is low
  • Influenza vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); no declinations allowed
  • Tdap vaccine required
• Tuberculosis (TB) testing:

  • Two-step skin test, TSpot, or Quantiferon within 12 months prior to start date
  • Acceptable alternatives include prior positive TB skin test with negative chest X-ray within 12 months
• N-95 Fit Testing within the past 12 months with approved mask models; proof required
• Annual TB questionnaire within past 12 months
• Drug screen: Rapid 10 panel within 60 days prior to start
• 7-year criminal background check (county, state, national, federal) and SSN trace within 60 days prior to start
• Professional verifications required:

  • Driver’s license or state ID
  • Education verification (diploma/degree/transcript or third-party verification)
  • Employment verification
  • Two professional references from most recent assignments
• Completion of facility-specific core competencies, skills checklist, unit exam, confidentiality, dress code, orientation acknowledgement, latex questionnaire, traveler attestation packet, and other required forms

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work rotating day shifts and be available for on-call weekend and evening shifts
• Pediatric Echo and Philips CVX experience are preferred but not mandatory
