Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician (Travel)

Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Lead daily operations of the imaging services department.
• Ensure quality imaging, patient care, and workflow.
• Monitor patient documentation for timely completion and accuracy.
• Oversee quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Serve as a resource to department staff and other team members.
• Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching.
• Provide input for staff performance evaluations.
• Accurately position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department environment.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association).
• Current license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start.
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year and updated yearly with a minimum 80% score.
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding and Education Attestation.
• Documented proof of two MMR vaccines or positive IGG titer (no declinations accepted).
• Fit Test (required for all travelers, preferred prior to start).
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine for flu season (October 1 through March 31) or mask requirement if declined.
• Positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within one year, and TB questionnaire completed (updated annually).
• Health statement or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
• Valid Driver’s License/State ID matching address requirements.
• 2 Step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes.
• Documented proof of Varicella immunity or vaccination (no declinations accepted).
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (no declinations accepted).
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen completed within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.

Professional Requirements

• Ascension Profile (resume or professional profile).
• At least two professional references completed prior to first assignment.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender, and other required screenings within 30 days of first assignment.
• EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) check within 90 days of start.
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
• Education verification relevant to clinical work completed within 90 days of start.
• Confirmation of assignment documentation on agency letterhead with accurate start and end dates.
• Third-party employment verification for the past seven years, updated annually.
