Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Technician (Travel)

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in a Multi Modality Cath Lab covering IR, Cardiac, Neuro, Trauma, and Vascular procedures
• Weeknight and weekend call required

Required Certifications & Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Must be AHA certified
• Current License/Certificate Verification – Must be verified within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ascension Specialty Exam – Completed prior to first assignment; updated every 3 years; minimum 80% passing score; max 2 attempts
• Ascension Core Competencies – Includes HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics; completed within a year of start and updated yearly; minimum 80% score; max 2 attempts
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation – Must be completed and uploaded prior to start
• Driver’s License/State ID – Valid, not expired, must match address requirements

Health & Immunization Requirements

• MMR – Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted
• Fit Test – Required for all travelers; preferred prior to start, can be completed onsite; updated annually
• Hepatitis B – Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination
• Influenza Vaccine – Required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
• Positive PPD/Negative Chest X-Ray and Annual TB Questionnaire – Proof of positive IGRA or PPD results, chest X-ray within a year, and completed TB questionnaire; updated annually
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – Required within specified timeframes prior to start; TB questionnaire updated annually
• Varicella – Proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted
• Tdap – Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted
• Health Statement – Statement of good health or physical exam prior to first assignment; updated annually
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen – Completed within 30 days prior to start; includes testing for 12 specified drugs; must include MRO review if applicable

Professional Requirements

• Ascension Profile (Resume) – Required for submission
• Ascension 2 Professional References – At least two references required prior to first assignment
• Ascension Criminal Background Check Results – Includes Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender; completed within 30 days of first assignment; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days
• Ascension EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) – Run within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Skills Checklist – Clinical skills checklist completed within one year of start; updated annually
• Ascension Education Verification – Verification of relevant education within 90 days of start; rerun if break in service > 90 days
• Ascension Confirmation of Assignment – Provided upon initial assignment and updated with extensions
• Ascension Employment Verification – Third-party verification for past 7 years; updated annually or after break in service > 90 days

Additional Notes

• Some onboarding forms and attestations are completed onsite by the facility or uploaded by the agency
• TB and immunization documentation must be current and compliant with facility requirements
• Compliance with all credentialing and health requirements is mandatory prior to assignment start
