Job Opportunity: Med Surg / Rehab RN (Travel)

Job Description

• 1-2+ years of current Acute MS/rehab nursing experience required
• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Schedule: 36/48 hours
• Float requirements during low census
• Must reside within 100 miles of the facility

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Acute MS/Rehab nursing (higher value taken from description)

Licenses & Certifications

• Valid Kentucky RN license or compact license
• BLS (American Heart Association certified, front and back of certificate required if not electronic)
• ACLS
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification (required for RN specialties except OR)

Immunizations & Health Requirements

• COVID-19 vaccine (religious and medical exemptions accepted with proper documentation)
• Proof of 2 MMR vaccinations or positive titer (2nd dose required within 28-30 days if starting with 1 dose)
• Proof of 3 Hepatitis B vaccine series or declination accepted
• Proof of 2 Varicella vaccinations or positive titer (2nd dose required within 28-30 days if starting with 1 dose)
• Tdap vaccine valid within 10 years (Td not accepted; declinations acceptable)
• Annual physical or physician statement within 1 year prior to start, stating clear to work without restrictions
• TB Quantiferon blood test within 1 year prior to start (annual update required)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (excluding marijuana/THC)

Background & Verification

• Background checks within 30 days prior to start including:

  • 7-year county criminal history
  • Nationwide criminal, SSN trace, national sex offender, SAM, OIG, EPLS, OFAC checks
  • Education and employment verification (5 years)
  • Kentucky Vulnerable Adult Maltreatment Registry verification within 30 days prior to start
• 2 professional references required (1 charge or higher, 1 supervisor reference)

Competencies & Testing

• Specialty job description signed and dated
• ARH Skills Checklist (unit specific, within 1 year prior to start, renewed annually)
• ARH Competency Exam with passing score of 80% or higher (within 1 year)
• ARH Core Competencies (HIPAA, Patient Bill of Rights, Safety Orientation, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire Safety, Infection Control, Elder Abuse and Neglect, Age Specific Care, Cultural Diversity, Advance Directives; renewed annually)

Other Requirements

• Assignment confirmation must be submitted within 24 hours of accepting the offer
• Orientation occurs bi-weekly
• Must comply with facility-specific submission packet and documentation requirements
