Job Description
Seeking an experienced night shift Emergency Department (ED) nurse to work in a 48-treatment space ED with a 1:5 patient ratio.
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for New York State.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing (defaulted to higher requirement if discrepancies found).
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- 8 Hours of Stroke Training (including NHISS)
- Skills & Competencies:
- Completion of Arnot Skills Checklist for the unit.
- Passing score (80% or higher) on Arnot Core Competency Exam (Core Comp I, II, III for RNs).
- Health & Safety Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination or agency declination.
- MMR immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series).
- Fit Test within last 12 months (specific approved mask models).
- Hepatitis B immunity or declination form.
- Influenza vaccine or declination form (mask required if declined).
- TB testing within last 12 months (PPD or Quant/Spot test; CXR if prior positive).
- Varicella immunity (positive IgG titer or 2 vaccine series).
- Tdap vaccine preferred (or declination form).
- Physical/Health Statement within last 12 months.
- Professional Requirements:
- Valid, unexpired US driver’s license or state ID.
- Agency background check within 30 days of start (including criminal and alias searches).
- Agency drug screen within 30 days of start (9+ panel).
- Resume detailing employment and education history for last 7 years.
- Two professional references (one within last 12 months, one within last 3 years).
- Employment verification (agency verifications count as one employer).
- Education verification for nursing degree(s).
- Completion of various Arnot Health forms and acknowledgments (e.g., Personal Information Form, Code of Conduct, Sexual Harassment Acknowledgement).
- Color headshot photo.
- Completion of Arnot Job Description acknowledgment.
- 7 Instant Background Checks (state and federal exclusions and registries).
- AH Drug Tobacco Acknowledgement.
- Annual TB Questionnaire Form.
- Arnot Epic Questionnaire (submission required).
