Cardiovascular Surgical Tech

Overview

• Travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin.
• Start date: ASAP.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Guaranteed hours: 40 per week.
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Primary location: hospital-based cardiovascular surgical tech assignment.
• Float scope: may be required to float to all Central Aspirus locations if needed.
• Call requirements: 1 night of call per week, 1 weekend per month, and 1 backup per week; 30-minute response time.
• Weekend and holiday coverage: every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation.
• Low census: eligible for 36 unbillable low census hours; on-call hours may count toward those hours.

Required Qualifications

• BLS.
• CST license required; NBSTSA or NCCT accepted.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of CVOR experience.
• Prior travel experience required.
• Must be able to work in an operative suite, scrub surgical cases across a variety of specialties, turn over rooms, and handle case carts and supply setup.
• Cardiac/Thoracic experience.
• Thoracic robot experience.

Preferred

• Flexible candidate with excellent work ethic.
• Willing to do downtime tasks such as pulling case carts and cleaning.
• Motivated during downtime.
• Hard worker.
• Resilient and manages change well.
• Social candidate.

Additional Details

• Scrub colors: any color.
• During flu season, if not vaccinated for flu and COVID, mask use is required at all times.
