PACU Registered Nurse

Overview

Travel assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin
13-week contract
40 hours per week
Start date: ASAP

Schedule

Variable 4x10 shifts with start times of 0730, 0800, or 0900
Weekends are every 5th weekend on call
Holiday rotation
One night per week for 4 weeks out of 6 weeks on call, plus every 5th weekend on call
30-minute response time for call
Call shift start time is 11am
May be low censused and put on call
Call back minimum is 2 hours

Required Qualifications

WI RN License
AHA BLS
ACLS
PALS
2+ years of PACU experience
Recent hospital experience
Post cardiac experience
Peds experience

Preferred Qualifications

Epic experience strongly preferred
If no Epic experience, previous electronic charting experience is required

Unit Details

PACU unit with 14 bays
1:2 patient ratio
About 35 patients per day
Primary cases include general, spine and neuro, GI, ENT, Cardiac, PV, and ORTHO
Also stabilizes ICU patients before transfer to the ICU

Additional Notes

Float requirements: N/A
Scrubs: any color
36 hours of low census unbillable hours are eligible
Travelers can be put on call during low census hours
GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of orientation
Guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
During flu season, anyone who declines flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times; compliance is mandatory
