Palliative Care RN

Overview

Travel Registered Nurse assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin.
13-week contract.
Start date: ASAP.
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.
Shift: 12-hour days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
Schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Primary location: Aspirus Wausau.
Unit: 10-bed Palliative Care unit.
Float scope: any inpatient unit.
Low-census policy may reduce shifts in 1-hour increments, typically 4-hour increments; this is not on-call.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin.
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Palliative experience within the last year.
2 years of Palliative experience.
Med Surg experience.
Experience with Epic.

Preferred

1 year of inpatient Palliative Care experience.
Palliative Care/Hospice experience.

Unit Details

Primary cases: Palliative, Comfort/Hospice, Med/Surg.
Staffing ratio: 5:1 RN ratio.
Staffing: 2 RNs and 1 C.NA per 10 patients.
Scrub color: any color.
