Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel

Job Details

Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts
Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
Weekend/Holiday: Every 3rd weekend and every other holiday rotation
On Call: Possible low census call; minimum 2-hour callback pay
Float Requirements: None

Unit Information

11-bed Labor & Delivery unit / 8-bed Postpartum unit
Approximately 1,350 deliveries annually
Average monthly delivery rate: 112
Patient census is highly variable

Required Qualifications

License: Wisconsin RN license
Certifications: AHA BLS, Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Experience: Minimum 2 years in OB with Labor and Delivery experience (highest required years of experience)
Skills: Competent in Labor and Delivery nursing
Charting: Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Additional Information

Must be located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
During flu season, travelers declining flu and COVID vaccinations must wear a mask at all times per facility policy
Contract includes eligibility for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with call-back pay if called in
Orientation week hours may vary; guaranteed set hours except during unit closures on holidays
