Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7 AM - 7 PM)
• Hours: Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Up to every other weekend required
• Float Requirements: Must be flexible to float to other units as needed, including the Emergency Department for holding patients
• On-Call: One on-call shift every 6 weeks

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of Cardiac ICU experience
• Certifications:

  • NC or Compact RN license
  • AHA BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• Charting Experience: Epic strongly preferred
• Skills:

  • Cardiac critical and intensive care expertise
  • Hardworking, resilient, and adaptable to change
  • Social and team-oriented

Additional Information

• Scrub Code: Red, black, or gray solid colors only (no designs unless working in pediatric areas). T-shirts worn under scrubs must be solid red, black, gray, or white. No hoodies or fleece jackets; scrub jackets allowed.
• Orientation: Hours not guaranteed during orientation week or if the unit is closed
• COVID-19: COVID/booster vaccination required unless a medical or religious exemption applies
• Travel Experience: Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not explicitly required

This position offers a dynamic environment in a cardiovascular ICU with opportunities to work across multiple units. Ideal candidates are experienced cardiac ICU nurses who are adaptable and ready to take on a travel assignment.
