<h2>Job Summary</h2><ul><li>Perform duties as part of the surgical team to ensure safe and successful operative procedures.</li><li>Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and report to Surgical Services management.</li><li>Support system-wide surgical operations initiatives and safety plans.</li></ul><h2>Job Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Ensure the operating room and surgical items meet sterilization criteria.</li><li>Maintain the sterile field and ensure a safe environment.</li><li>Recognize and address sharps and fire safety processes.</li><li>Prepare the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures.</li><li>Assist with sterile processing as needed.</li><li>Support surgeons during procedures within the ORT scope of practice.</li><li>Identify and respond to emergency situations appropriately.</li><li>Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for subsequent procedures.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months, or two years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years.</li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Active National Certification as an ORT in Surgery or Certified Surgical Technologist.</li></ul><br /><strong>QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE</strong><br /><strong>Work Authorization :</strong> US Citizen<br /><strong>Preferred years of experience :</strong> 2 years<br /><strong>Travel required :</strong> No travel required<br /><strong>Shift timings :</strong> Days
