Surgical Reprocessing Technician

Location: Clinton Township, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Clean, inspect, assemble, package, disinfect, and sterilize surgical products used in inpatient, outpatient, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Delivery Room, and satellite departments.
• Document and monitor sterilization processes including steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Manage sterile supply inventory, maintain par levels, and rotate stock.
• Coordinate preparation of case carts according to surgeon preference cards, ensuring availability of supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants.
• Communicate and collaborate with surgical specialty teams and hospital personnel to meet instrumentation needs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Surgical Technician, including experience within the last year.
• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
• Central Service Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a medical terminology course.
• BLS certification preferred (if not already held).

Work Schedule

• Two positions: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM shift.
• One position: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM shift.
• 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
