Job Opportunity: RN - Telemetry (Tele)

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry, you will be responsible for the care of a group of patients, focusing on safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. The role includes supervising licensed and non-licensed staff, applying evidence-based practice, and participating in quality and safety improvement efforts. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while promoting patient comfort, education, and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
Develop, prioritize, and implement care plans; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during stay and at discharge.
Delegate tasks, mentor and precept staff, encourage teamwork, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
Comply with regulatory standards and participate in Practice Governance.

Required Qualifications

Experience

Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience, including experience within the last year.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.

Certifications & Licensure

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
