Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirement: May be required to float within competency level
• Additional Shift: Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Schedule: Varies based on department needs; may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Cancellation Policy: Employer may cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice for low census during the 13-week contract

Patient Population

• Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Provides comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates care with other healthcare professionals
• Focus on individualized patient outcomes over entire episode of care

Required Qualifications

• License: Nevada RN license required prior to start
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
• Must pass telemetry competency exam (including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
